Taz is the founding member of CTI and has over 20 years of experience in tax and business incentives. Starting the business in Sacramento California, he has grown the business from a local specialty tax firm into a multi-million dollar specialty tax practice with a nationwide presence. Having expanded the firm’s services over the years, CTI focuses exclusively on business incentives with a focus on the opportunities that exist when companies make investments in the form of hiring and training employees, making capital investment and conducting research and development activities. CTI’s core services are the Work Opportunity Tax Credit, Research and Development Tax Credit Studies and Cost Segregation but captures various statutory and discretionary incentives across the country with its comprehensive approach to capturing business incentives. Taz has led the business with a high degree of customer service and a commitment to providing value to its clients at a fair price. By implementing an audit-oriented approach to tax projects supported by tax technical expertise, Taz has helped CTI become a leader in providing tax specialty services to CPAs and directly to businesses.

Prior to establishing CTI, Taz worked for Deloitte as a Tax Associate and as a Tax Auditor with the California Franchise Tax Board where he was part of key teams setting audit policies on auditing tax credits and was the co-author of the R&D audit guide. Taz holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from California State University, San Francisco and is a licensed CPA in the state of California.
